That’s the word that I have embraced in 2019. ⁣

I’m worthy of love. I’m worthy of peace. I’m worthy of happiness, honesty and real relationships. ⁣

I used to think that pain was my destiny, and the good things in life were reserved for select people. Every single bad thing that happened... I thought I deserved. And I carried the burdens willingly. I assumed it would make me a better person. But it just weighed me down. ⁣
⁣
I still struggle with it, and sometimes my past self slips free. But now she is met with self love, compassion, joy and promise of a new day. ⁣
⁣
We are all worthy in our own, special way! Instead of letting the past and circumstances define us, let’s try to use it as a map. A guideline of things we’ve tried, failed and instead of letting it ruin us, we simply choose a different path. ⁣
