I keep having this reoccurring dream where I frantically run into my grandparents old home and cry, “What do I do?” My grandparents smile at each other. Then my Grammie reaches for my hand and simply says, “You’ll know.” In this dream, her advice makes perfect sense and calms me. However, when I wake up, my heart is racing fast and I feel lost. So lost. For the past several months, I have wished that I could talk to her and ask her for advice. I would like to think my dream is her way of reaching out, but I know it’s only my imagination working against me.
Even though it was just a dream, I can’t help but feel like there was power in her words. In our darkest, lowest, loneliest moments, we almost always know the right answer. We can see the next step, but our own fear blinds us and makes it complicated. It’s like we see a small light at the end of a tunnel, but our feet refuse to move. Sometimes all we need is a moment of silence to gather our thoughts. Other times we need to feel the weight of the world on our shoulders to put the pieces together or maybe all we need is advice from a good friend.
I do not know what questions in your life need answers, but I can promise you that you will figure it out. Maybe not today or tomorrow… but soon. You’ll know.
All my love,
