Shopping My Mom’s Closet

Since many thrift stores are still closed or have limited capacity, I thought it would be fun to browse my mom’s closet! We used FaceTime to safely “shop”, and I picked two clothing items and a few accessories.

If this post gets enough love and comments, I might be able to convince her to shop MY closet. πŸ˜‰

The first thing I chose was a simple, black, short sleeved pullover, and I paired it with her teardrop flower earrings. I unbuttoned the top to create a younger, off-the-shoulder feel, and it breathed new life into it. If I do say so myself. πŸ˜› I added my own daisy tank top, jean shorts and high heels.

See Through Pullover (Similar) $18

Daisy Tank Top (Similar)$15

Dangling Flower Earrings (Similar) – $1

Frayed, High-Rise Jean Shorts$18

Michael Michael Kors Heels$57

(I found my heels on sale at T.J. Maxx)

The next outfit includes my mom’s loose, little black dress, her dangling pearl earrings and pearl necklace. I added a belt to create dimension, and chose chunky snake skin (IT’S FAKE!) sandals to complete the look.

Loose T-shirt Dress (Similar)$23

Stretchy Cinch Belt$11

Single Pearl Necklace (Similar)$14

Gold Pearl Drop Earrings (Similar)$16

Madden Girl Sandals$20

I hope you enjoyed this unique take on shopping during a pandemic, and I encourage you to try it with your own mom or even a friend! Let me know if you do. I’d love to see what treasures you find. πŸ™‚

A BIG thank you to my mom for letting me raid her closet! β™‘

What was your favorite outfit?

All my love,

  1. I love this idea! The dress paired with the belt is super cute. I hope we can convince her to shop your closet hahaπŸ’•

    1. What a great idea. Cute outfits. Love the shoes. I hope ur mom can be convinced to shop ur closet.

  2. I love both! It’s hard to choose just one! I wish my grandma had all her jewelry, but years ago, she had all of it stolen from her, lots of diamond rings. πŸ₯ΊπŸ˜πŸ™ I can see if she has anything, but she’s gotten rid of a lot of things.
