My Favorite Trader Joe’s Beauty Products

Who else is obsessed with Trader Joe’s?!  They have my favorite peppermint tea, the best food and some of my favorite wine.  They also have a section of beauty items, and I have been testing several of them over the last couple of months!   I found new favorites, and a couple duds.  I am saving the duds for an upcoming empties post, but if you’re interested in knowing some of my favorites, keep reading!
Everyday Moisturizing Body Lotion:   Out of all the products, this was the one I was most excited to try.  I can’t say that I was impressed with it, but I was not disappointed… if that makes sense.  It is very lightweight, but extremely moisturizing at the same time.  The scent reminds me of a spa mixed with hints of lavender.  Overall, it got the job done, and I was satisfied.  I would still be more likely to reach for my tried and true Hempz Herbal Body Moisturizer any day of the week though.
Enrich Moisturizing Face Lotion:  I LOVE LOVE LOVE this moisturizer.  Because I am pale and live in the sunshine state, I made a rule for myself that I will only use a daily moisturizer that has SPF.  So when I saw Trader Joe’s had one with a SPF of 15, I was excited.  It is moisturizing yet thin enough to wear under makeup, and it doesn’t make my skin oily.  I will more than likely need something a little heavier during the winter months, but for spring and summer, it’s perfect.
Shea Butter & Coconut Oil Hair Mask:  As most of you probably already know, I don’t care for putting coconut oil in my hair, but I LOVE shea butter so I figured why not.  This claims to revitalize dry, damaged hair, and while it didn’t do that for me, it completely tamed my frizz.  It also made my hair wavy, and gave it a lot more volume.
Micellar Cleanser & Makeup Remover Towelettes:  If you have ever used the Wet n Wild makeup wipes, I would say that these are a step up from that.  The towels are pretty thin, but still capable of removing all of my foundation.  My only complaint is I had trouble removing heavier eye makeup.  I think these would be perfect for camping or to keep in your travel case as a back up.
Facial Cleansing Oil with Argan & Coconut Oils:  I have been wanting to find the perfect cleansing balm for a while now so when I saw this, I knew I had to give it a go.  Putting oil on your face while it is still dry is a very weird sensation, and it took me several uses to get comfortable with it.  The directions say to rinse it off with water, but for me, it was much simpler and effective to use a makeup wipe (more specifically the Micellar Cleanser & Makeup Remover Towelettes).  This is a lifesaver for when I’m wearing a full face of makeup, and need to remove stubborn eyelash glue.
Tea Tree Tingle Body Wash and Refresh Citrus Body Wash:  I clumped these together because I love them equally, and they both do the same thing.  If you’re an OG of the blog, than you know how much I love the tea tree tingle body wash.  It’s a staple in my hygiene routine!  I have also been obsessed with the citrus body wash because it has been so hot.  I feel like citrus and summertime just belong together.  Am I the only one?
Honey Mango Moisturizing Shave Cream:  I have been using this shaving cream for close to a year now, and I just bought another bottle today!  I used to have a preference for foaming shaving cream, but this one is so moisturizing and soothing, that I don’t mind.  I have tried every kind of shaving cream from EOS, BarbaSol and Skintimate, and none of them compare.  If your skin is dry and prone to razor burns, I highly recommend giving this one a go!
100% Pure Jojoba Oil:  If I was deserted on an island and could only have one product, this would be it.  It makes the perfect hair mask, face moisturizer, body oil, lash oil… it does everything.  It is also antibacterial so it will help fight skin irritations!  If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor and buy a bottle.  Just make sure that you get 100% pure.
Ultra Moisturizing Hand Cream:  Confession time!  I have a nasty habit of picking my cuticles so I am always on the hunt for a good hand cream.  I like the travel size lotion from Bath and Body Works, but sometimes it’s not thick enough.  I really enjoy the Trader Joe’s formula because it’s heavy, but it doesn’t leave behind an oily residue.  The scent is very calming and clean and fades after a few minute of applying it.  In the future, I would love to see Trader Joe’s change the packaging because it’s big and bulky and sometimes difficult to get product out of the bottle.
What is your favorite beauty product from Trader Joe’s? ♡

All my love,

  1. Hi! (: Regarding the jojoba oil – because you loved that product so much, I am tempted to purchase a bottle myself! However, when I have tried to put oils on my skin for moisturizer, it never absorbs and simply drips right off or remains slick. Do you think this product would do the same? Or cause acne? (The struggle is real.) And would you recommend using it in your hair instead of coconut oil? (I’m the queen of frizz and am always looking to tame the mane.)
Also, I really appreciate your honest reviews (:
    Thank you!

    1. I’ve never had that problem with jojoba oil, but I would suggest testing it on a smaller section of skin just to be safe! I have struggled with acne for many, many years so I feel ya. One of the reasons I love jojoba oil so much is because it’s very similar to the sebum our body creates so in some ways it can help with breakouts. If your skin is moisturized, it won’t freak out and overproduce oil… causing acne. I hope that makes sense. haha Also, you should do what works best for you, but I would definitely recommend trying jojoba oil as a hair mask at least once. I love applying it a hour or two before I shampoo and condition my hair. Sometimes I leave it on all night! It helps tame frizz, add moisture, and all that jazz… 🙂
